Built by believers,
for believers
Ministry Built is the home of church tech. We build tools for churches, pastors, and people of faith, and we curate the largest directory of faith-based technology on the web.
Our story
It started in 2020 with a simple idea: build a Bible note-taking app that actually helps people grow in their faith. During the global lockdown, we taught ourselves to code and built Church Notes from scratch.
What began as a lockdown project quickly grew into something bigger. We partnered with Crossway to bring the ESV Bible into the app, launched on iOS and Android, and watched a global community of believers form around it. Today, over 50,000 people use Church Notes to study the Bible and take sermon notes.
But we didn't stop there. We saw churches struggling with fragmented tools for scheduling, volunteering, job postings, and sermon prep. So we built more. Preach Notes for pastors. My Church Calendar for events. Church Volunteering for coordination. Church Jobs Today for ministry hiring.
Ministry Built is the home for all of it. It's also the largest directory of church tech on the web, helping churches discover the right tools for their ministry. Whether we built it or someone else did, if it serves the church, it belongs here.
Our mission
Build tools and resources to promote the Gospel of Jesus Christ
We believe technology should serve your faith. Every feature we build is designed to help you study God's word, stay connected in church, and live a faith-fulfilled life.
What we believe
Faith-first design
Every feature we build starts with one question: does this help someone grow closer to God?
Simplicity matters
Technology should serve your faith, not distract from it. We keep things clean, fast, and intuitive.
Global vision
We want to reach anyone with access to modern technology, connecting them closer to Christ and his word.
Community driven
Built by believers, for believers. Your feedback shapes every update we ship.
Our journey
The idea was born
Church Notes was founded with a passion to help Christians grow in their faith and knowledge of the Bible. We used the global lockdown to learn how to build a mobile app.
Partnered with Crossway
We partnered with Crossway to integrate the English Standard Version (ESV) Bible translation into Church Notes.
Church Notes launched on iOS
Church Notes launched in beta on iOS, putting sermon notes and Bible study tools into the hands of believers for the first time.
Expanded to Android
We brought Church Notes to Android, making it available to an even wider community of believers around the world.
The suite grew
We launched Preach Notes, My Church Calendar, Church Volunteering, and Church Jobs Today, building a full suite of tools for churches.
Ministry Built was born
We created Ministry Built as the home for all our products and the largest directory of church tech tools on the web.
